TONIC & THYME | WELLBEING
A moment for you
A gentle wellbeing check-in for carers, loved ones and anyone carrying a little too much.
Maybe you're caring for someone you love. Maybe you're grieving, adjusting to a diagnosis, supporting your whānau, or simply trying to get through another difficult day.
Sometimes the world feels incredibly heavy. And sometimes there isn't one obvious reason why.
You don't need to explain away your feelings, compare your situation to someone else's, or pretend you're coping better than you are.
You're allowed to feel how you feel.
You can love someone deeply and still feel exhausted. You can be grateful and overwhelmed. You can be strong for others and need someone to be there for you.
There is room for all of that here.
How are you feeling today?
There is no right answer. You might feel exhausted, frustrated, lonely, worried, numb, sad, or even okay. Feelings can change throughout the day, and you don't have to name them perfectly.
If you're exhausted
Being needed so much can take a toll. Rest isn't something you have to earn. Is there one thing someone else could help you carry today?
If you're overwhelmed
You don't have to solve everything today. What truly needs your attention right now? What can wait? Who might be able to help?
If you're grieving
Grief doesn't have a timetable. You may be missing someone, anticipating a loss, or grieving how life has changed. You deserve care too.
If you're feeling okay
You're allowed a good moment without guilt. Feeling okay today doesn't make the hard parts any less real.
If you don't know
That's okay too. You don't need to find the right words before asking for support.
One small thing for right now
Could you drink some water, eat something, sit down for a few minutes, step outside, or message someone you trust? These small acts won't fix everything, but your needs still matter.
If you need to talk, you don't have to wait until things become unbearable.
