How Our Small-Batch Ordering Works

Small-Batch Skincare, Made With Care

At Tonic & Thyme, we make our skincare in small batches right here in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand.

Some products are ready and waiting on our shelves. Others may be freshly prepared after your order is placed.

You can order and pay through our website for products available for made-to-order purchasing, even when we don't have a finished bottle ready to ship.

What happens after you order?

Ready to ship: We usually dispatch within 1–2 business days.

Freshly made for you: Please allow approximately 2–3 business days for preparation and required quality checks. Some batches may take longer.

Waiting on ingredients: Occasionally an ingredient may need to be ordered. If this affects your order, we'll email you with an updated estimate. Ingredient delivery may take 7 business days or longer, with additional preparation time afterwards.

If the proposed delay doesn't work for you, let us know. We can discuss an alternative or arrange a refund for the affected products, or your order if appropriate.

Preparation times are estimates and do not include courier delivery. We only dispatch products once they're ready and have completed the required quality checks.

We're a very small skincare business, not a large production warehouse. Making small batches helps us manage ingredients thoughtfully, avoid unnecessary waste and give each product the attention it deserves.
